Everywhere has it's pros and cons. I've already harvested 100-200 hundred
pounds from my best hives, and I've split some hives twice already. Here's
a pic of me doing double and triple splits last week

But as you can see from the grass, if it wasn't for the irrigated
pastures, residential landscapes and small orchards, these bees would be
dead of starvation soon.

It's too bad beekeepers don't make the kind of money we are making these
last two years normally. Otherwise we could all buy a half dozen locations
from Florida to California and north to Alaska, Dakotas, etc..and be real
fat cats.

But with my luck, I'd spend time and money building up my business and
next year the price of honey will drop again!
