I saw several hives last spring bring home a load of seeds, as quickly they
passed em' off, others trotted the seeds out on the stoop and lined them
up.
Good fun to watch, gave them something to do for a few days...I'd give the
birds a diet change ( bigger seeds perhaps ) Whatever you do, with warm
weather the problem will soon be gone either way.
