>You should count yourself lucky that you are only
reading about this

I experienced it...
Ive been thru it several years ago
during the beginnings of the CCD
hysteria. Several year of absconding,
and dying out colonies that seemed
otherwise healthy, dying out when
my inspections proved them healthy.
Unexplained losses, unexplained losses,
unexplained losses...

In spite of symptoms not matching
CCD, I was being encouraged by
some of the CCD supporters
leading some of the research to
blame CCD,

After several detailed inspections
by some more knowledge'd than I
in beekeeping, it was determined
not to be CCD related.

>If you check archives, oct06 you can see the first evidence
that I saw of ccd.

I remember the panic during that year.
A list of CCD symptoms were still being
created by researchers at that time.
I'll allow for the diagnosis of CCD,
as its been used often to explain
any unexplained loss having 'like
symptoms'.

>After I have questioned myself more that anyone here,
to continue (questioning) is neurotic

I've been thru that also.
If your situation follows what occurred
here, the problem will disappear
as fast as it started, and you will
again regain confidence.

If it is CCD, this supports my original
statement which prompted your response.
Researchers are now saying that CCD
alone is not sufficient to collapse a
colony, and that other stresses must
be present, adding weight to the statement:

> colonies do not fail or succeed based
on singular reasons.

Best Wishes,
