We've applied about 1500 MAQS strips in the past two years, cold weather
and hot, new strips or old sticky ones, into nucs, singles, doubles, and
triples, honey supers off or on. Have also checked for efficacy under
various California foothill conditions, in different hive strengths, and at
different treatment levels (2 strips, 1 strip, half strip).

We find them to be a useful product for mite management.

I've spoken to the manufacturer about various issues. Regulators would not
allow them to use an easy-open package, for fear that children would open.
The mfr is also working on a formulation that the bees will actually
remove (the longer one waits, the more difficult to remove).
