> the collapsed colonies had no signs of mite depredation.

As you know, I have been working closely with varroa mites for 20 years, both at the Dyce Lab where we had 100s of colonies succumb to varroa collapse, because we were tested treatment regimes (which didn't work) -- as well as as a NYS bee inspector. I have seen 100s or 1000s of hives in the advanced stages of varroa collapse: deformed wings, snotty brood, dead brood with varroa all over it, getting the socks robbed off them.

This was not like that. The colonies went from being asymptomatic large colonies to vanished in a very few weeks. Many others reported the same thing. As you know, I sent you samples from my hives, the ones that collapsed. I suspect virus, despite adequate varroa control. I don't have the data you want as the whole episode took place while I was dealing with a personal crisis. Sorry I can't be more specific.
