[BEE-L] New British Imid Study

http://www.buglife.org.uk/Resources/Buglife/Neonicotinoid%20insecticides%20report.pdf

Bob Harrison comments;

Although no one seems to have enough guts to do such a research paper
listing all the studies done on the neonicotinoids in the U.S.

 all the studies are listed.

Many I looked at when making up my mind on the neonicotinoids.

Read for yourself as the evidence against the neonicotinoids mounts. I had
to
spend days searching for many of the studies included in the paper.

Thanks Brian for the post. Brian when you came on BEE-L you confronted me on
the neonicotinoids ( corn pollen) and I suggested you search the net and
read for yourself. I can see you have came to the same conclusion I did
after reading the research.

Sorry for your dry period. We have had cool wet weather. The 10th. coolest
summer on record. beautiful juicy apples. Been selling Jonathan & gala. Red
Rome starting but still no red or Golden Delicious ripe yet.

For those too busy to take the time to read the report just scan to section
13.0 :

quote:
" The most significant result is that very low doses of Imidacloprid has
significant sub lethal impacts on bees by altering behavior and causing bee
deaths through chronic toxicity"

I am too tired from bee work to type all the studies proving the above but
here are the numbers listed for each study.

37/40/46/48/49/50/51/53/54/

Most can be read in entirety from the net.

Happy reading!

bob
