Actually, beekeeper burnout is part of the CCD syndrome.  Several of  the 
large migratory bee operations in CA before the almond blossom had another  type 
of disappearing disease - their crews. 
 
Every time they looked at their colonies, more had dwindled or  succombed.  
That started endless rounds of inspect, combine, re-grade -  every day, every 
week.  More than one beekeeper lost crew members who tired  of the long days, 
just quit, and went home.
