Stan, I don't think that anyone is saying that mortality due to planter
dust is farfetched--it has been very well documented in Germany, when there
was a misformulation of the sticker.  This is why I'm surprised that these
recent studies are claimed by some as being anything new!

The dust issue is much less nowadays, but still far from perfect.  However,
note that the intentionally dusted colonies in one study recovered
completely.  The other author still has not answered me.

Obvious bee mortality during planting is a very different issue than saying
that something is involved in CCD.
