   Rose, where do you live?  (A point that should be include in all
communications.)

   Normally honey bees do not nest in the ground unless they are Africanized.

   It well may be that you have yellow jacket wasps, instead.  To control
them you can use soapy water in a spray bottle (set on stream) from a SAFE
distance and eliminate them quite well.  Use some protection, though; they
can come out like bullets.

   Get help from a local beekeeper.  Usually they are listed with your
county agricultural department.
