Because you are averaging 3 days vs 9 days?

I.e.
Total mite fall/3 days = ~105
Total mite fall/9 days = ~43

A higher mite fall in the first 3 days after treatment is washed out in the
math by a lower mite fall the last 3, 4, 5, 6 days of treatment...
