"Can you explain why so many beekeepers raising their own or purchasing
queens find they lack fertility? It is something that should be
looked
into but has NOT.?

a) Not enough drones around.
b) Inbreeding.
c) A year or two ago somebody at Plymouth University, whose name has
slipped my memory, was examiming spermatheca to see whether they were
being weakened and ruptured by viruses. I don't know what he found.
