Well, as you can see, it was taken that way. And by the way, he has done a hell of a lot more than that. He has changed the character of beekeeping research in this country: by doing field work that academia and government has neglected to do, by speaking out where they have been circumspect, and advocating for the industry when others have levied ill informed opinions. 

Randy Oliver has been a pioneer in the category of A. I. Root, Charles Mraz, Sue Cobey and the rest of them. You are lucky to have his contributions to the ABJ. It would be a damn sight poorer without him.
