Hi All; Reading on the different pheromones produced by the honey bee I have a question about this one. The Nassanoff gland produces Geraniol which turns out to be a natural insect repellant. Could it be when a hive starts to get crowded with bees they shut the down the Nassanoff gland making them more susceptible to mites?

Cheers
