I would love to hear from the editors
about the responsibilities involved.

I am not sure that editors are charged
with the duty of fact checking.  I do 
understand that they may require 
source references.  BUT do they actually
verify these sources and check all facts 
presented by authors submitting articles?

If editors are not verifying facts and checking
source references on every article, I would 
assume it is not their responsibility.
