I often expose bottom boards and hive covers to the sun in order to get UV
exposure prior to placing back on hives. I also recently purchased a
portable UV drinking water disinfectant, and was surprised by the quick
recommended exposure.

I have thought about using UV tubes for disinfecting combs, and agree that a
modified uncapping line with two UV tubes could well be effective. Would be
easy to test, if someone had the inclination.
