> 64" down, 16" up so 80" total. Tapers rapidly in the top section, little
or none going down. Oddly goes a couple of inches below the original ground
level on the root ball. Which is now almost vertical again after it was cut.

So the fungus got in somehow, and ate all that heartwood - that's unusual,
but it at least explains the unusual cavity that resulted!
