From the topic 5 types of starvation Joe commented about no swarms.

"I've heard rumors of 2 swarms caught 40 miles east near Pittsburgh last
week, but none here yet."

I have only heard of two swarms here also, they were both small. We usually
start the second week of May but not this year. It has been chilly here
with a good amount of wind. Any day that is slightly warm I have been
checking my hives, yesterday I saw the first queen cells of the season only
two cells and it was a supersedure not swarms cells. Some hives are
building up but not fast and others are limping along. Dandelions have been
out for almost two weeks, apples, pears and blueberries are blooming.

I am feeding syrup and pollen patties. With the cold wind we're having I
would guess the bees are not flying far if it is not out the front door or
in the hive they are not getting it.

The trucks are coming through with loads of bees for the blueberries up
north.
