>Are you feeding for a good wintering? Is there any pollen still being
collected?

Here in the UK colonies are lighter than they should be at this time of year and we will need to do some serious checking and topping up for food soon. Nucs have already been fed twice. Big worry is varroa because of the lack of a brood rearing break.

Yesterday was back to normal (?) with 9ºC max and down to 1ºC last night, so few bees flying. Before that they have been out whenever it stopped raining and they have been working. Rosemary in full flower, hazel (for pollen) has been in flower for a long time (usually end of January) and plenty of other plants around the garden are flowering before they should - mahonia, snowdrops, aconites, primroses, pulmonaria. Out in the countryside there is not much so far other than hazel.

Best wishes
