There was a case in the UK and Ireland a couple of years ago with a herbicide made by Dow Agro marketed under various brand names, all based on aminopyralid. Cattle grazed the fields a week after spray was applied. The product did not break down in manure even after a couple of years and when manure was applied to allotments, greenhouses, and other vegetable growing areas it wiped out crops such as potatoes, peas, beans and tomatoes. I lost all my tomato plants in the greenhouse 3 years ago after digging in a bag of manure. Most of our allotment people lost their potatoes that year.
The idea that only neonicotinoids persist is crazy.
