My home yard consists of two overwintered colonies, and five nucs
started in May. It's located in a wooded area where the bees rarely make
surplus honey. I use the yard to clean up my extracted supers before
winter storage. I removed 1300 lbs from these seven colonies. My total
crop this year was 80000 lbs. Equals about 1-50th of the total crop.
Significant I do think! No I don't have any AFB, or have any neighboring
bee yards at risk even if I did. Mike
