I agree with you Peter.  But, on the other side, if one has the resources to spare, and the diligence to follow the scientific method, sometimes new, valid methods of treatment arise from such endeavors.   I say, let 'em try it.   If it works and is replicable in just about all cases, then we have available a new method of treatment
