The feral derivatives that I am keeping off treatments have been very good
at swarming every year despite my best efforts to prevent them from doing
so.  


Isn't it misleading to say they are Treatment free then??  We as beekeepers
seem to want survivor stock to be 2-3 year old colonies without mandating
brood breaks or swarms,  it may be a huge portion of the picture to come to
a common point.   
Personally bees with self induced brood breaks (swarms, supercedure or just
stopping brood) are not TF.....?
