This is from 5+ years of experiences, sometimes it was good, sometimes not so good
I don't have many screened BB, so it is not so convenient doing a drop test
I use OA(v) in mid to late fall, 2x  (when broodless)

My impression is that ccd is less of a problem if you have very good control of VD,
but after a while I think the hive becomes contaminated, probably the pollen,
and I suspect that formic is a fumigant for ccd, as well as the effect on VD
