> Re maturity of queen cells at swarm issuance, I don't usually see the swarm take off until the cells are well ripened--curious about the observation of swarms leaving upon the sealing of the cells.

Many times I have seen hives swarm and upon examination found the queen cells at a stage where they are not yet capped.  This is not the norm but I have seen this many times.
