It seems that for every question "answered", a multitude of other questions
arise!

If diet is a factor in a longer life winter bee, how do bees that are feed
sugar or some other substance hold up? Is it the makeup of honey that
contributes or is it that the food source is higher in sugar content than
say nectar?

Or is a conservation of energy coupled with the diet that results in a
longer life bee?

And how do bees in extreme conditions hold up? If ambient temperatures
cause the bees to "shiver" to generate heat, isn't this the same as flying
in regards to wing muscles? Wouldn't she wear out just as fast as a forager?

Any papers available on longevity studies?
