Brian, can you provide the numbers of colonies lost in the Fall of 2005  mite 
crashes in the USA?  If you are going to list this as the benchmark,  what is 
the number?
 
Also, it appears that you live in Minnesota.  I suggest that you talk  to 
some of the large migratory beekeepers in your state who have reported CCD,  some 
of whom we have investigated/sampled.  I don't think they'd consider  the 
losses as tiny.
