Releasing such a line of bees into the environment may be illegal (I'm not sure, if it's not for sale).  And such a release might never be noticed, and spread through the entire bee population.

Randy isn't that what DOD > DARPA > Renee Wegrzyn > "SAFE GENE" Editing research is about; being able to stop or reverse gene edits?
