I am a beginner beekeeper. I am having difficulties in working quietly and
with slow deliberate movements when handling the bees. Recently I had a
problem in breaking the propolis seal between the frames and the hive.

I read somewhere that if vaseline is smeared on the surfaces that the bees
are unable to propolise. If that is true and if there are no bad side
effects this seems like a good idea as it would mean that frames could be
moved in and out more easily, not to speak of the ease in removing supers
and crown boards.

I would be most interested in comments.

Sincerely
