From the opposing perspective I "have never seen any proof that the so-called ferals are descendants of swarms recently escaped from managed hives".

As I recall, the last time we had a discussion on the meaning of feral it came down to 'unmanaged colony'.

If you concede that bees swarming from attics and house cavities are at least one generation feral then feral bees exist.

If you do not concede that bees swarming from attics and house cavities are feral then you need to define your personal definition of 'feral'. One generation? Two generations? Three generations?
