I've been inundated with phone calls and people stopping by my stand at the farmer's market.  They all say, "Hey!  Good news!  They found a cure!"

What's an intelligent, but not too scholarly or academic, way of explaining exactly what this most recent report has accomplished?  I've tried to explain there is no cure, but we're closer to finding the cause (or causes).

How are the rest of you dealing with the general public?
