Hello Peter & All,
The simple answer to your post would be that when I control varroa I do not
have a virus problem. Only do I see a P.M.S. problem when varroa loads
approach threshold.

Do others on the list see the same thing?

Interesting that all the buzz about "Kashmir Virus hits B.C. Bees" being
published in bee mags & Speedy Bee completely looks past varroa as part of
the problem but only a method of spread.

The beekeepers grapevine points to those bees having varroa problems and
PMS ( real problem and not the Kashmir virus). I am only passing on
information told to me and possibly not accurate so maybe I should not even
post as I am not on the front line in B.C..
Comments?

Maybe Allen Dick will comment as many U.S. beekeepers are puzzeled by Paul
Vanwestendorp placing the blame directly on the Kashmir virus and not
varroa.

It is my opinion and of several other beekeepers that if varroa was
controlled in those BC hives the Kashmir virus would disappear but what do
we know.

Bob
