I have had the opportunity to look at a lot of colonies in the
Philippines. They are much smaller than Canadian colonies. I met a
Filipino who works as a foreman for a bee operation in Alberta (has for
decades) and when he goes back to the Philippines in the winter he manages
his colonies there totally differently because he says they just don't
behave the same, and does not attribute that to floral differences alone.

Africanized bee colonies that I have seen in Venezuela and Panama were also
smaller.

Hives in Chile were pretty big, but latitude is increasing there to be
similar to Australia and New Zealand.
