Honestly, I find so much variation between colonies that it's pretty hard to pin anything on the queen source. Yellow bees seem more susceptible to chalk brood. The best performing bees I ever had were from Texas but they were too aggressive to keep near my house. They were always coming over to the house causing trouble. Had to get rid of them.
