Dear Allan, Bob, et al:

I thank both of you for accepting my rant with grace.

Frankly the fact that I can no longer make you angry at me is disturbing;
perhaps I lost my bite, having become toothless in my argument. I guess
Allan’s analogy is apt that at times I belong to Bob’s group, regarding for
example, fighting against Neonicotinoids, just as clusters of bees flock to
one site at one time and then another at another time, trying to settle on
the selection of a new site.

Despite my ballooning rhetoric, I must confess, I read and follow your posts
carefully, as evinced by the rant, for both of you carry a good measure of
weight based on concrete experience. I especially enjoy your posts, Bob,
when you reveal your management style, however unwittingly, while talking
about something else.

I dare generalize here again that all the sideliners worship and emulate the
cut-throat efficiency of an industrialized beekeeping operation, for one can
stick labels by hand only for so long or bottle out of a bucket or a
settling tank. Instead of categorizing beekeepers the way you did, Bob, one
can also classify them as 1) Electric Knife Stage, 2) Vibrating Knife Stage,
and 3) Chain Mechanized Stage, perhaps, according to the size and efficiency
of one’s operation.

There should be a movie made about you and your long migratory beekeeping.
I wish you enjoy your beekeeping decades and decades more. I am grateful
and proud being part of this wonderful group.

Yoon
