hi!  I wear gloves and it works out just fine.  I have two queens who instruct
their workers to sting now and ask questions later.  Of course, I battle with
bears a fair bit to--no gloves--and understand the grumpiness.  I haven't tried the leather gloves, they do seem ungainly, but have used the canvas ones for
three years.  Be careful about big allergic reactions, I understand they worsen with exposure.
