Having seen the daily drop sheets under hives treated with OA(v) 
I have no doubt that it kills mites
I use 2 gm/box in a water pipe "crack pipe"
Yes this is the upper end doseage
If it is too warm for them to be clustered you have to
do it towards dusk.  Warmer is better, as loose a cluster as possable
They should make some noise
