I would dispute the value to beekeeping worldwide for coumaphos vs comb 
contamination etc.

I would also debate the price charged for taking powdered choumaphos and 
powdering a rubber strip ( like a powdered donut) and selling.  Bayer made 
plenty bucks off checkmite.

However what Peter posted did not address (at least in my mind) the question 
posed by Juanse:

Why now?

Does Bayer realize it has a growing PR problem or simply doing for the love 
of honeybees?
