Hi Lloyd and all

Good results here also. My losses are 2 out of 12. One hive swarmed
in mid September so I wrote it off as I had already made my
combinations and had nothing to combine it with. The other dead hive
starved. I used fondant this year for the first time in my 35 years
as a beekeeper and gave it to all hives as early as January, except
that one, as they needed it. I waited for each hive to show signs of
needing food and goofed on that one. My problem now is keeping the
other hives out of the trees. All hives are very strong except 3.
One of these is super strong the other 2 are very weak. I haven't
opened the hives yet except to feed.
