Has anyone noticed whether or not bees will chew through comb in the winter
to create access holes for moving laterally to reach winter stores?

It's been quite a few years since I have used deep frames, all medium
now. My recollection is I saw more chewed frames then, very seldom now,
possibly due to more frequent spacing?
