Have a friend who is having a problem with small ants working on an inside-the-hive feeder.  The hives are on hive stands with posted buried in the ground.  He has painted the posts with a mixture of Vaseline and oil and he says the ants are transversing that barrier easily.  What do ya'll suggest as a viable barrier to stop the invasion of these hungry ants.
