I would not expect some people to understand, especially people have not
spent days with Dee debating issues, attended a local Tucson beekeepers
meeting, travelled with Dee and Ed in the desert, pored over research
papers, enjoyed her hospitality or eaten her cooking.

Almost everyone who knows Dee personally likes and respects her, even if
they do not agree and think some of her ideas are nutty. Dee enjoys a
good tussle.

I doubt she would be offended by my comments here or my pointing out the
interview. I'm guessing she is having a good chuckle. Moreover, after
listening to the interview, I am thinking that maybe I owe Dee an
apology on some points (not others).

I thought she acquitted herself well and as I say, the view from rural
Southern Arizona can very much be an alternate reality.

Yes and no. Nothing is ever quite that simple. There are a few nuggets
buried in the BS.

That is exactly why keeping the subject alive is important.

You and me both.

Idiots and idealists were around in beekeeping long before Dee started
promoting her theories.

As I say I like and respect Dee, even if I think that some of her
teachings are harmful if swallowed.
