I've switched to burning burlap coffee sacks when I use my smoker.
They give a good smoke when properly lit, which is a little trickier
than the punky wood I was using before. My source is a local organic
coffee roaster - there's lots of those around here - because the bags
need to be untreated under the organic standards. The roasters are
typically glad to have someone pick them up.
