<><><>   There are a myriad number of stains used in microscope identification ( Microscopy Staining Information ).   It would bee a matter of time and effort to use these stains and dyes to help in pollen identification.  Think if I had the equipment I could spend the time and effort needed to start a taxonomy of pollen and subsequent plant identification.   I don't know what publications are available that show microscopic views of pollen and the associated plants.  With the plants that we utilize in honey production we wouldn't have to worry about the pollen of plants that fall outside of our limited scope of interest.
