For what it's worth, there is very little corn grown around here. Yet, even with this mild winter, many beekeepers are reporting very high losses. Some in the 80 -90% range. I suspect, but don't know for certain that Varroa and virus are the culprits. Many are trying to call it CCD but I'm very skeptical. Must admit I haven't examined one of those hives.
