I prefer punky wood for a short burn time, Maine is the most heavily
forested state in the country finding punky wood is no problem. I use wood
pellets when needing the smoker all day, the pellets give off a lot
of creosote and make a mess though. Having a stainless steel scrubber wired
in the top to prevent pellets from rolling out it is good, how is the
creosote buildup in the scrub pad?

I use a galvanized 6 gallon garbage can with a lid to carry the smoker in
the back of the truck, it has a handle that is easy to bungee to keep it
upright. I have a large bolt with a nut threaded all the way on in to put
in the spout, the bolt goes down the spout about 2 inches and the added nut
makes the bolt top big enough to grab easily.
