A number of years ago we had a breeder in the area who raised Caucasians commercially in an area inundated with Italians.  What he did to control mating was to provide free queens to all the beekeeping operations within about 20 miles of his mating yards.  The queens he provided were from lines from which he wanted drones. Mike in LA
