Today I took delivery for the few remaining copies of Bee Genetics and
Breeding, Edited by Thomas E. Rinderer. It was published in 1986 by Academic
Press, Inc.
 
Contributing authors include Anita Collins, Jean-Marie Cornuet, Alfred Dietz,
Lionel Goncalves, John Harbo, Gudren Koeniger, Jovan Kulincevic, Harry
Laidlaw, Charles Milne, Robin Moritz, Robert Page, Thomas Rinderer, Friedrich
Ruttner, Antonio Stort, H. Allen Sylvester, Kenneth Tucker and Jerzy Woyke.
 
Part I (Genetics) includes the following chapters: Evolution, Geographical
variability and classification, Visible mutants, Sex determination, Genetics
of bees other than Apis mellifera, Behavioral genetics, biochemical genetics,
Cytology and cytogenetics, Population genetics, and Reproduction and mating
behavior.
 
Part II (Breeding) includes the following chapters: Quantitative genetics,
Selection, Mating designs, Storage of germplasm, Propagation and instrumental
insemination, and Breeding accomplishments with honey bees
 
Each chapter includes its own References. There is a comprehensive index.
There are 426 pages in this hardcover, first edition book. The ISBN is
