No, you misunderstand me.  I have no problem with the study or the data and
did not criticise it.  In fact it seemed to me to be presented here as a
vindication for the safety of neonics.  That may be true in Australia, but
other factors may affect the conclusions that we draw in other parts of the
world.  Lateral thinking.

We also know that neonicotinoids have been shown to have a serious impact on
our solitary bees - and raising those wider issues (i.e. beyond the
tunnel-vision view that only considers honey bees) seems to me to be
entirely responsible.

Incidentally, as I have written before, we did not have any problem with the
'much worse' options as we developed a good working relationship with
farmers and spray contractors.  Perhaps that did not apply in your area.

No, I have never missed those I can assure you - and no matter how well
varroa is controlled, we cannot eliminate it and nor can we eliminate the
viruses.
