When just collecting additional data from something that we already have
considerable experience with, not too often.

But with something that we're trying for the first few times, around 30-50%
of the time.
I've spoken with a number of researchers about testing something "makes
perfect sense."  With regard to field research with bees, being wrong at
least a third of the time is a common feeling.
Being wrong opens an opportunity to discoveries!

Just this week I was titrating to determine the amount of oxalic acid
residues inside empty cells or on dead or live bees in a single deep of
drawn combs after an OAV.
We ran three replicates with slight variations, and got wildly different
results.  WTF!  So we'll continue until we can figure it out.
