This is not unique to beekeeping. Farming is the same way. Farmers will
try a new variety or a new chemical, and when asked will reply in a less
than positive way, even if they were very impressed.
I have found beekeepers that were very helpfull, and very willing to mentor
a new beekeeper, but I have seen the other side too. There are way to few
of us that will admit to our mistakes, and keep someone else from that same
path.
